8108F	BUSS	Buss 44, 36" x 8", Four-Roll Single Surface Planer for first cuts or finish planing. Weight 8,800 lbs. It is without "V"-drive motor for the cutterhead and could operate to 5,000 RPM. With a 4-knife high speed steel cutterhead, and has a built-in 5 H.P. vari-drive for speeds of 25 to 85 FPM, equipped with a l/2 H.P. lower bed hoist. Four 5-3/16" dia. powered feed rolls, with the top infeed roll being corrugated, sectional, and spring loaded, with 3/8" independent yield. Material from 1/16"- 8" thick, and single pieces to as short as 14", or 4" if butted. Includes: Buss anti-lap device, one shot oiling, micro-adjust pressure bar, built in controls and starters for 440/60/3 operation.
8590	Buss	One (1) Used Buss Model 88 7" X 30" Motorized Double Surface Planer, S/N 6332, equipped with Newman Whitney "Quiet Cut" Carbide Spiral Cutterheads. Furnished complete with two (2) sets of new carbide knives and screws valued at over $9,000., two (2) standard knife cutterheads in boxes, carbide grinding equipment, bottom head roll-out cart, and some spare parts. Top head motor is 25 HP, 3540 RPM, 208/220/440, 3-phase, bottom head is 15 HP, 3520 RPM, 205/220/440, 3-phase. Variable speed feed from 35 to 105 Feet Per Minute. Individually spring loaded infeed roll sections allow for feeding multiple or irregular pieces. Unit will surface pieces as thin as 1/16", as short as 14" non-butted, and 4" butted. Floor space required is 98" X 78" with approximate weight of 11,500 lbs. The "Quiet Cut" System typically requires jointing only once every 3-months, grinding (sharpening) every 6-months, and replacement every 5-years. Staples will not damage these knives. Current new approximate cost to convert a 30" Double Surfacer to "Quiet Cut" heads is $ 21,000. This Surfacer appears in very good condition and was recently in service.
8587	Buss	Buss Model 55 14” X 59” Beam Planer, equipped with 14” tall spiral carbide cutterheads to handle 4-side surfacing up to 14” X 59” beams. Top and bottom cutterheads are 3-knife units each driven by 50 HP 3,450 RPM 440 V 3-Phase motors. Sideheads are driven by 20 HP 440 V motors. Lift base assembly adjusts height of planer to maintain a constant pass height through planer and rollcases. Dust collection hoods are furnished for all heads. Includes motor control center with starters for surfacer, sidehead equipment, and feedrolls. Side mounted powered rubber rolls help pull beams out of sidehead assembly. Package also includes 95’ non-powered rollcase and 88’ powered rollcase with drive motors.

8112F	BUSS	One (1) Used Buss 4A, 36" Single Planer for Parts. Cutterhead motor tag missing, HP unknown, 4-slot head w/knives & gibs. 3 HP, four-speed feed showing 220/60/3. 2" sectional rolls. Friction table hoist. Starters, dust hood, and jointer rail with carriage. Hoist yoke has been repaired, and part of the shifting mechanism may not be present. Front handwheel and left side chipbreaker arm have been repaired.
6380	Greenlee	Used Greenlee Heavy-Duty Model No. 120, 8-Roll, 8" x 36", 6-Knife Double Surfacer. All motorized and ball bearing construction. Complete with hopper infeed belt for feed short stock, sectional independently yielding top infeed rolls with 2"-wide sections, each with internal springs, jointers, and wedge bed support for finish quality accuracy. Machine weighs 12,175-lbs., and appears to have had little use, although it was likely built in the 1940's or 1950's. Top Head 30 HP Bottom Head 20 HP Feed Motor, 4-Speed & Reverse 10 HP Motors are 3600 RPM, 220/440-volts, and are suitable for 6,000 RPM operation.

No outfeed rolls. Includes top and bottom jointers and appears to be in excellent condition aside from the cutterhead bearings which are in need of replacement. Base is 4-1/2' x 8’. 8106F	WOODS	One (1) Used Woods 465-M, 30" x 6", Heavy-duty High Speed Double Roughing Planer with fixed bed height for conveyor feeding up to approx. 400 FPM. 60 H.P., 3600 RPM direct to the l0 knife top cutterhead, approx. 30 H.P. bottom, and approx. 30 H.P. single speed "V"-drive feed, with sheaves and belts. 6-roll machine, helical gear driven, with two top infeed rolls and one top outfeed roll being 12" dia. foam filled rubber tires (6 tires per shaft). Bottom rolls are 12.9" dia., with the first bottom roll being steel fluted and the balance smooth. Wt. 25,900 lbs.
