Air strain system is closed-type with internally mounted air tank, dial-type strain gauge, and control valves. Cartridge guides with upper guide hydraulically positioned. Top wheel has 12” face, spoked style, 1-3/16”-thick at rim. Bottom wheel is heavy solid cast. Upper wheel hoist is motorized. All steel fabricated base and columns. Reconditioning includes: new bearings, new cartridge-type strain points, new plumbing, new wiring, new guide blocks, all worn or broken parts repaired or replaced, new paint, test run at full speed, electronic wheel balancing, and wheels remachined.
8030A	ALBANY	Albany 7’, Reconditioned, Left-Hand Bandmill. Cartridge-type guides. Top guide is raised and lowered hydraulically. Top wheel is 12”-wide, spoked-type, 1-1/8”-thick at the rim. Bottom wheel is heavy solid cast. All steel fabricated base and column assembly. Built in 1970’s, it is equipped with airbag strain through conventional strain points. Was part of a sharp chain reducer twin system (heads were used for another project), Fall down take away belts on both sides of the bandmill in the outfeed area, c/w temposonic positioners, 2 @ 200 HP, 460 volt motors; Pacific Fluid System Hydraulic unit - 2 - 40 HP pumps, 1-1/2 Hp circulating pump, 300 gallon tank, 50 gallon tank on stand.
8031A	C A E	CAE 8’, Right-Hand, High Strain 45,000-lbs. max operating strain. Hydraulic upper guide lift and motorized strain. Solid cast wheels with dead upper arbor, and bearings in upper wheel hub. Wheel faces are 13”, and top rim is 1-1/16”-thick at edge. Drop-in pressure guides. Includes tailing belt, but no main drive motor.New in 1989

Upper wheel will be new solid disc-style, with “dead” arbor and bearings mounted in hubs. No motor. To be reconditioned with all new bearings, and all worn or broken parts repaired or replaced. Bandmill tested at full speed and wheels electronically balanced.

5642A	CAN CAR	Can Car, 5’-High, Strain Quad Band. Nitrogen over hydraulic strain. Heavy solid disc wheels, with bearings mounted in hubs and “dead” arbors. Wheels have 9” faces, and tops are between 15/16”- and 1”-thick at edges. Each pair of mills sits on its own sliding base unit, so that they may be mounted on slides, allowing extreme close coupling of quad. Includes Nor-Pac cartridge pressure guides, but less motors, setworks, wheel guards, or blades

8035A	Klamath	Klamath 8' Right-Hand Mechanical Weight Strain Bandmill. Reconditioned Nearly new top solid cast upper wheel measuring 1-1/2" thick at edge of rim, and 9-1/2" across face. Bottom wheel is a good extra heavy unit, also solid cast. Pacific Hoe cartridge-type pressure saw guides. Upper guide is positioned by hydraulic cylinder. Wheel lift is powered by 1-1/2 HP 220/440V motor. No clearing roll or slat bed currently on machine, but are priced as options below. Reconditioning to include: Complete tear down, new bearings, new strain points, all worn or broken parts repaired or replaced, clean, paint, assemble, test run, and electronically balance wheels.
8032A	Klamath Iron Works	7’ Right-Hand Bandmill. Standard strain with factory retrofitted air strain conversion. Was last installed as a slanted unit and has a slanted powered slatbed, which could be converted to level operation. Drop-in Pacific Hoe pressure saw guides with motorized upper guide lift. Wheels are solid cast-type with 10-3/4”-wide faces. The top wheel is 1”-thick at edge of rim. Maximum opening below upper guide is 43”. Klamath Iron works is a division of Coe Manufacturing, who continue to service the line. This bandmill was rebuilt in the 1980’s. The air strain and new wheels were installed at that time

8028A	KOCKUMS	Kockums L&B 8’, Right-Hand, Air Strain, Double-Cut Bandmill. 54,000-lbs. max. strain. 11”-wide wheels, with top measuring 1-1/8”-thick at edge of rim. Motorized upper guide and wheel lift. Motorized slab clearing belt.
8044A	Kockums	Kockums 6' High Strain Reducer Quad Bandmill. Built 1982, complete with four (4) 200 HP TEFC wheel drive motors. Max strain is 32,000-lbs. Four (4) Temposonics-controlled hydraulic set cylinders, saw guards, blades, good wheels - top is approximately 1"-thick at edge of rim, 10" face, spare guide blocks, and guide dressing fixture. Uses 38'-0"-long saws. 3-position hydraulic setting upper saw guides. Non-rotating arbors with bearings mounted in wheels. Currently set up to run at 8614 F.P.M. rim speed on 60 Hz, and a maximum cut speed of 370 F.P.M. Kerf used in last installation was .140" to .160". The band units pull out from each other for easy saw change, preserving a very short saw pocket
8567	Kockums	Kockums (L&B) 7’ H. S. A. ( High Strain Air ) Right Hand* Double Cut Bandmill S/N 8935-0127, Built in 1989. 44,000 lb max strain. 11-3/4” wide wheel faces with top wheel measuring more than 1” at edge of rim. Upper and lower pressure saw guides with powered upper guide lift. Motorized upper wheel lift. No clearing belt. 6” riser in column to increase maximum depth of cut to approximately 59”, with 45” from saw to front of column. Photos on the way.

8036A	McDonough	McDonough 62” Super-Duty, left hand, double column, air strain bandmill. 9-1/4” wide wheel faces. Electric motorized wheel lift. Cartridge pressure upper guide with motorized lift, bottom cartridge pressure guide with motorized guide dressing machine and fixtures.150 HP wheel drive motor, pulleys, V-belts, and upper wheel guard. No blades. Bandmill was originally a shifting resaw but base now in a fixed position. Bandmill is in very good condition. No tailing device currently on bandmill. Wheels have been remachined and bearings replaced.

Top wheel was recently replaced with new, and is 7/8"-thick at edge of rim. Face width is 7-1/4" for 8"-wide blades. Maximum depth of cut is 32". Requires 50 HP motor. Includes one .049 plate, .095 kerf blade. No motor.
8027A	McDonough	McDonough 7’ Bandmill, mechanical strain with Reconditioned motorized top wheel lift and movable top guide. Wheels have a 12-1/4” face and top wheel has 15/16” tick at the rim and bottom wheel is 1” thich at the rim of a self clearing wheel. Comes with new rocker arm shaft. New or reground strain points. Rebuilt wheel lift gear boxes with new gears, bearings and strain tilt adjustment. Machine has been dismantled, cleaned, inspected and re-assembled.

Also includes hydraulic upper guide lift assembly, motorized wheel lift, and motorized slab clearing belt. Spoked upper wheel is approximately 7/8” thick at edge of rim. No motor.
8025A	SALEM	Salem 5’ Right Hand Air Strain Bandmill. Built in 1978. Motorized upper guide and wheel lift. Pressure bandsaw guides. Solid cast 8” wide upper and lower wheels in near new condition. Upper wheel measures 1-1/8” trick at edge of rim. Bandmill is in excellent condition and would make a great linebar resaw as well as a headrig.
8026A	SALEM	Salem 66” Heavy Duty Left Hand High Air Strain Bandmill. 9” wide wheel faces. Top wheel measures over 1-1/4” at edge of rim and is solid cast design. Bottom wheel is even heavier and has V-belt sheave mounted outside bearings. Guides are cartridge pressure style with motorized lift on upper guide assembly. Motorized wheel lift and strain.
7001A	Salem	Salem 6’ Right Hand Mechanical Strain Bandmill. 12” wide wheels with top measuring ¾” think at edge of rim. Motorized slat bed with UHMW slats. Motorized upper guide and top wheel lift. Upper guide rails have been updated with replaceable chromed slide ways. Guides are drop-in pressure style.
8575	Salem	Salem Bandmill 6’ High Air Strain Left Hand (can be converted to Right Hand) Heavy cast high strain wheels with top rim 1-3/16” thick. built in 1979. Has only been used a few years and looks in very good condition. Strain is 30,000 lb factory air bag. Motorized upper guide and top wheel lift. Drop in pressure saw guides.

Ellison automatic upper saw guide positioner with Opcon electric eyes . 150 HP Toshiba 1200 RPM TEFC drive motor with drive pulleys.

8041A	USNR	USNR Late Model, 1996 Double Length Infeed Sharp Chain Log Feeding System. For logs up to 24”-diameter and feed speeds up to 400 FPM. Includes “flying” log turner, drives, approximately 40’-long special log infeed conveyor and outfeed hold down rolls. Does not include scanning or electronics package. System was feeding a reducer quad bandsaw with Model 34 slabber heads.
