Bottom wheel is a good extra heavy unit, also solid cast. Pacific Hoe cartridge-type pressure saw guides. Upper guide is positioned by hydraulic cylinder. Wheel lift is powered by 1-1/2 HP 220/440V motor. No clearing roll or slat bed currently on machine, but are priced as options below. Reconditioning to include: Complete tear down, new bearings, new strain points, all worn or broken parts repaired or replaced, clean, paint, assemble, test run, and electronically balance wheels.

Was last installed as a slanted unit and has a slanted powered slatbed, which could be converted to level operation. Drop-in Pacific Hoe pressure saw guides with motorized upper guide lift. Wheels are solid cast-type with 10-3/4”-wide faces. The top wheel is 1”-thick at edge of rim. Maximum opening below upper guide is 43”. Klamath Iron works is a division of Coe Manufacturing, who continue to service the line. This bandmill was rebuilt in the 1980’s. The air strain and new wheels were installed at that time

Four (4) Temposonics-controlled hydraulic set cylinders, saw guards, blades, good wheels - top is approximately 1"-thick at edge of rim, 10" face, spare guide blocks, and guide dressing fixture. Uses 38'-0"-long saws. 3-position hydraulic setting upper saw guides. Non-rotating arbors with bearings mounted in wheels. Currently set up to run at 8614 F.P.M. rim speed on 60 Hz, and a maximum cut speed of 370 F.P.M. Kerf used in last installation was .140" to .160". The band units pull out from each other for easy saw change, preserving a very short saw pocket
